Dance
with us!

Eligibility

All women living with a chronic or life-challenging condition are invited to our new dance classes starting March 2023! We are collaborating with Dr. Eli Puterman and his team at The University of British Columbia to evaluate this new program's launch. NO previous dance experience required. Women must consent and complete an online physical assessment before attending the first class. See below for more details. 

Why Dance?

Participation in dance improves physical, mental, and social health. This dance program was co-created by a team including, members of the HIV+ community and the Groovement Dance Program and support is provided by the Fitness, Aging, and Stress (FAST) lab at the University of British Columbia, led by the Principal Investigator Dr. Eli Puterman in the School of Kinesiology. Funding for this program comes from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.

Please complete the online physical assessment form found herBEFORE
registering  and attending your first class.
